With the iBoss™ Enterprise, you can setup different filtering groups to allow for different sets of filtering rules on your network. Each group has its own set of filtering rules which can be assigned to computers and users. This allows you to setup different Internet filtering rules for users depending on the Internet user. In addition, filtering can be bypassed completely or reduced while still enforcing a minimum set of policies for specified users if desired.

Single Sign-on Transparent Policy

A user can be transparently assigned to an iBoss group as soon as they log onto their workstation based on their group membership in Active Directory or eDirectory. Active Directory/eDirectory Groups are matched to the iBoss filtering group in a one-to-one fashion.

Simple Group Policy Management

iBoss groups contain complete policies. There is no need to manage complex access control lists (ACLs) to determine which rule is going to be applied to a user. The policy from a group is applied as a complete set making it easy to determine which policy is being applied and make any adjustments necessary to filtering policy.
